accidents

In the event that a child has an accident, every effort is made to contact the parent/carer and appropriate action will be taken. All accidents will be noted in the Incident Book at Little Owls.

child collection

The Nursery Manager must be informed (verbally and preferably in writing) if someone else is to collect your child. In an emergency regarding the collection of your child, parents are asked to telephone staff at Little Owls on 07808 236251.

illness

Children who are known to have an infectious illness must not be brought to Little Owls. Parents are asked to notify staff of all incidents and infectious illnesses such as whooping cough, chicken pox, head lice, etc. so that other parents can be alerted. Any child suffering from diarrhea or vomiting should be kept away from the nursery for a least one clear day after the symptoms cease.

lunches

Children staying for lunch must bring their

practical things

 

own packed lunch and water bottle. We kindly request chocolate and sweets are not included.

non-violent toy policy

There is a non-violent policy at the nursery. We do not allow toy guns, knives, swords etc. on the premises.

photos

Staff sometimes take photographs of the children doing activities to maintain our records required by Ofsted. If any parent/carer has any objections, please let the Nursery Manager know.

outdoor play requirements

Parents/carers are asked to provide suitable clothing for outdoor play— wellies, coats, hats, gloves in winter; sun hats and sun cream in summer.
