the team

Our staff are well trained in handling the needs of young children as they make the transition from being at home with parents to attending school. They constantly provide encouragement to the children whilst allowing them to play and learn at their own pace.

key worker system

Little Owls runs a key worker system. This means that each member of staff has a group of children for whom she/he is particularly responsible. Your child’s key worker will be the person who works with you to make sure that the nursery satisfies your child’s needs and interests and will help your child to benefit from the nursery’s activities.

partnership with parents

Parents are children’s first and foremost educators and when parents and early years practitioners work together the results have a positive impact on a child’s development and learning.

Our staff keep a “record of achievement” for each child in their group. Staff and parents working together on their child’s record of achievement is just one of the ways in which Little Owls and parents work in partnership.

helping out

We do not run a parent rota system but parents and carers are very welcome to help out during sessions. This can be on a regular or ad hoc basis. We encourage parents to take part by sharing their own interests and skills with the children.
